www.drsketchysofla.com Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is the little New York art event that became a movement. Started in 2005 by artist Molly Crabapple, the concept is simple. Artist’s draw glamorous burlesque dancers, compete in contests, and win wacky prizes. From it’s humble Brooklyn beginnings, Dr. Sketchy’s now has over 100 branches around the globe. Now, Charlotte Sundquist has brought Sketchy’s to South Florida and now Ink & Pistons! These monthly sketch sessions feature burlesque babes, roller derby girls, drag queens and tattooed models, along with contests, prizes and alcohol at some of our favorite artist supporting venues.
Here's what you get ….. Local burlesque performer, Ember Furie will be posing for your sketching pleasure. Our model will hold poses throughout the night ranging from 5 to 20 minutes. Bring your crayons or etch-a-sketch and have FUN! At Dr. Sketchy's, the models are typically costumed (not nude), and there will be music. We provide the model, adult beverages, snacks and a chair. All you need is a hard surface to draw on, a sketch pad and drawing utensils. Due to space, no easels please.
Start right at 7pm and goes until 10pm. 21 and up please.
$12 at the door.
Space is limited.
